Pakistan stages itinerary

The entry into Pakistan and the consequent internal itinerary is influenced by the need to travel escorted throughout the Balochistan region. I was aware of this even though I believed that the constraints were minor.
That said, I have already been escorted 630km from the Taftan border to the city of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.
After two days of rest, tomorrow I leave with the aim of going towards the border of India and more precisely to Lahore, where I also have a useful contact person for the Vespa Club Pakistan.
My ideal Itinerary would be Taftan – Quetta – Multan – Lahore, for a total of about 1,500 km from Taftan. But the police have informed me that tomorrow they will escort me to the first city outside of Balochistan, which is Zhob, 350 km from Quetta. The problem is that Zhob is in another direction, which is to Islamabad.
At this point, having discarded the possibility of making the shortest route from Quetta to Lahore, I have two alternatives:
– Go to Zhob and then continue to Islamabad, then go to Lahore for a total of approximately 1,900 km.
– Go to Zhob and then descend towards Multan and then Lahore, about 1700 km.
I asked various sources but they all tell me that Zhob cannot sleep … why ??? I guess tomorrow the whole day goes away to get to Zhob and no further, with the various escort patrol changes that the Police will make.
It will mean that if I can’t find places to sleep, I’ll go to the police and knock on the door to let them host me.
A bit difficult to get around in this Pakistan!
