From Lahore in Pakistan, 20 km from the Indian border, I study the possible itinerary that will see me cross India and Nepal, always from west to east.

The great unknown factor of this part of the journey is the climate, as June is the first month of the monsoon season and therefore of abundant rain.

A total length of about 3,000 km, where in the first 1,000 I will be able to decide whether to enter Nepal or whether to continue directly to Varanasi, the city of the Ganges.

So, summarizing:

– first 1,000 km “of transit”. I decided to skip Nuova Dheli as from what I read it is a super chaotic city and already here in Pakistan I realized the enormous difficulties of driving in these cities, especially with a loaded Vespa.

– Following a detour to Nepal, where there are at least 5/6 places to visit, in addition to everything at the base of the Himalayas. The three fixed points of reference are: Pokhara, Kathmandu and Dulikhel, then around them there are all the other places

– Returning to India I will be forced to reissue my visa because mine will probably have expired and, even if it is not, it does not provide for multiple entries in India.

– Then Varanasi, to visit the places of worship on the banks of the Ganges and finally Calcutta, where I have to check if it is possible to get a visa for Bangladesh.

As mentioned, as a whole it should be around 3,000km, but with Nepal’s major mountainous detour, hoping to be able to do it.
